Best bike shop in the area hands down. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They won’t try to sell you anything you don’t need either.
Just got my mountain bike serviced by a great guy, Chris Denny. (And super proud it was the first bike out of their new space �) I can't wait to get it out on my first trail ride of the season and know its gonna purr like a kitten as I fly through my favorite trails. The bike servicing and repair that Wooden Wheels provides has always been presented with courtesy and informative descriptions about what work was being performed and why. In the past when there was a full store, these employees made a point to be honest about the products and never up-sell. I’ve bought a couple bikes and countless items from them in the past and kept going back due to the way I was treated there, which can not always be said for bike shop employees.
When I was 11 my mom, Dad and I walked into Wooden Wheels when it was still in Newark Shopping Center. The guys at the shop didn’t push us to buy but offered for me to test bikes out. (A good sales tactic non the less lol) but they really figured out what I wanted to be riding and got me on a Specialized BMX dirt bike. One I still own to this day!
