Poor Customer Service!!! Just like everyone says, it is rare to find help and you feel as if you, the customer, is an inconvenience. I think they need to clean house or retrain. It isnt hard to provide good customer service. I will have to pick another shop.
What happened to Woodcrafters? – Sure, they're a little pricey, but at least they were friendly. I've been having similar experiences as other reviewers: CRAPPY customer service. I don't need any hand-holding, but they all but ignored me in there, standing by the front counter, three of them standing around gabbing, me at the counter, with my wood and credit card out. How much do I have to beg these guys to take my money? Guess I'll do a little more shopping around. PS-When I told my friend of my recent experiences, she refe... read more
I Am A Very Happy Painter! – The Gentlemen at Woodcrafters (the real lumber store) have always gave me sound advice, & recommended the best products, & tools to use in my business. I have been purchasing tools, and milk paints / stains / dyes&oils, etc.for over 20 years. I have open accounts with over 30 different company's in PDX metro. I strongly recommend Woodcrafters to my family, and friends, and my customers. My Firm rates this company A+. luckylitkie invites you to contact him for more info.
Poor customer service – I own a local construction company, and had heard about this place a few times, but had never been in. I went today for the first time. I walked in with my wife, approached the counter, and asked for help with the wood-burning equipment (we do a lot of burned inlay finish work). I was told I needed to speak to a particular sales person. I waited five minutes for a break in the indicated sales persons conversation, and told him I needed some help. He said that he would be with me in a minute. I watched... read more
Quality tools and wood..VERY pricey – Despite the fact that often times the staff makes me feel like I don't know a damn thing about wood working, they do have quality stuff and offer solid advice. The downside is the prices! Many of the prices are so high it is almost insulting; no, it IS insulting at times. Some of the tools they have are priced upwards of 80-90% higher than other retail stores and the internet. Just this weekend I saw an adjustable angle finder that I bought at Lowes for $24 and they were selling it for $... read more
Best costumer service – I bought a woodwooking tool from Woodcrafters and the tool brought, so I took it back to them. They replaced with a new one with out even blinking a eye. Ever timeI go there the staff is very helpful and professional. I wish I could give them higher than a 10 because they the best.
