As usual, the food and service was terrific. The pulled pork remains my favorite with the pulled chicken coming in a close second. However, we were not satisfied at the new turn the original brussels sprouts have taken. We much prefered the slivered sprouts instead of the halved sprouts. The uniqueness of the dish was in the crunchy texture that just isn't there with the halved sprouts. We are looking forward to Woodchips BBQ's expansion.

Lapeer just happened to be a meeting/drop off spot for us so we googled restaurants in the area and bbq just sounded good. So glad we stopped!!! Although it’s a fairly small place and was busy we were seated quickly. Our server was awesome, helpful and made sure we were taken care of. And the food......YUM!!!! Was so hard to decide what to order so I’m thinking we will have to return soon and try other choices 😉. We had our shop Xmas dinner at wood chips, and they squeezed us in (8 of us) at the last minute after our other plans fell through. They were not only extremely friendly, our service was great, the food was insanely good! We will never go to another BBQ joint ever again! Wood chips is now our #1 spot! The food rivaled Guy Fieris in Vegas! Awesome! Thanks so much!

This was my 3rd visit, and tonight I had the "Here's the Beef", it was very good. I like the fact that there are gluten free options, as each of my tablemates had varying gluten sensitivities. We were all able to have an enjoyable meal. Thanks Woodchips! Looking forward to my next visit.

I want to commend your kitchen manager, W. Dhooghe, he came into my place of employment and my boss noticed his jacket. We asked where you were located and asked one of my coworkers if she had ever been there. She said she had but didn’t have a good experience due to disliking her food. So he went out of his way today to bring us a sample of pulled pork and a gift certificate.
