Amazing doctor! Love his helpful staff and highly recommend this doctor for any issues related to orthopedics. He's the best in his field and it shows with all the people who come see him. Would not trust anyone else!
Dr. Wood is phenomenal! He did my left ankle surgery 2 weeks ago. My ankle injury was so bad that he had to implant an allograft to fix the lesion in the talar dome. What's impressive is with his expertise, he didn't open my ankle (which means break the side bone just to get into it), but a micro procedure, so that I would experience much less pain and recover faster! Dr. Wood is personable, knowledgeable and creates a collaborative environment with his patients. He always takes the time to answer questions and to make sure you are comfortable. Post-op the office has a portal for patients to check-in daily and any questions are answered promptly by the doctor or his staff.
If you like doctors that are honest and do not promise you everything then Dr. Wood is the one you want. Dr. Wood was my surgeon and he explained the procedure and answered my questions. He was honest and direct with me about my chances of recovery. The only guarantee I got from him was he would give me 100% effort. That is all I could ask for from a doctor.
This review was long overdue. Dr. Wood is incredible both as a surgeon as well as a person. I had a previous lower lumbar surgery, which was not successful. He and his staff were tremendously thorough and attentive. The surgery went well. My surgery was on Christmas Eve and he personally called me the next day and a couple of days later to check on me and provide me with feedback. I wholeheartedly endorse him both as a surgeon and person!!!
Dr Wood is the best surgeon you could want. He takes the time to explain everything and wants to make sure you understand. My back had a lot of issues and he did an excellent job on the disc replacement and fusion surgery.
Dr. Wood is the whole package when you're looking for a top orthopedic doctor who will treat you like family and do the best he can to help relieve the pain you are going through. Dr. Wood is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. I had a total knee replacement in October 2020 that I was extremely hesitant about having done. Dr. Wood was very understanding of my concerns and never pushed me before I was ready. Once the cortisone and Synvisc shots stopped working it became apparent that surgery was my only option. I was beyond anxious, concerned about handling the pain, and being out of commission, but the surgery and recovery were much smoother than expected. Can't say enough about Dr. Wood. What a great individual who is very knowledgeable, professional and caring. I Had left shoulder surgery which Dr. Wood identified the problem and recommended the appropriate treatment. I felt very comfortable with the process and knew what to expect before and after the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Wood and the office staff were friendly and professional.
