I truly regret that I have to express my disappointment in this situation. I would give 0 stars if I could. Dr. Won approached my wife's endoscopy appointment with a level of neglect that was disheartening. The doctor met with us just minutes before the procedure to inform us of an insurance issue and canceled us minutes before the procedure, which was particularly frustrating. He is very attentive to the patient's concerns and listens very carefully to their symptoms and tries to explain on their level; I can appreciate a doctor that takes over an hour to listen to my complex medical history to try to figure out best course of action. Also, if it was not for his insistence to repeat a colonoscopy from 2.5 years ago we would not have found the numerous polyps that came up and needed to be removed. We now wait for histology. I’m very pleased with his care and the nurse.
We had a terrible experience with this doctor and his nurse. During a very difficult time, they were dismissive of our questions and completely lacked compassion. It was very difficult to get in touch with the office, and our questions on MyChart were answered in a way that made us feel like we were a bother. It’s difficult to find a Gastroenterologist in this area, but don’t settle for this one.
