RecommendedHad my baby girl at womans and babies on October 2nd had my other kids at ephrata hospital never liked ephrata but Womans and Babies Hospital was amazing during my labor wish I had my other kids here. Trish the nurse during my labor was amazing she made the whole experience better 💕

I just had my son here on 9/19/20 and I still LOVE this hospital and the staff are absolutely amazing. I wish I could nominate more then one nurse for the daisy award but I can’t so let me just say, Andrea my Labor and delivery nurse on 9/18 during the night shift was absolutely amazing and I hope many other women get to experience her sense of humor and compassion she showed my husband and myself, she made our stay so much easier. Thanks to Women & Babies Hospital, we are a healthy and thriving family. The most wonderful nurses and midwives who helped me with my recent pregnancy. Especially the one nurse who stayed with me the whole entire time when the midwife broke my water. The nurse is truly amazing! And helped me a lot through my strongest contractions and helped me to breath calmly like through them especially when it was time to have my little one 6 days ago. Truly amazing staff!

During our stay at W&B we recieved extraordinary care. In fact, my only complaint is that we can't nominate more than one nurse for the daisy award, but I guess that's a problem I can live with. (😉) If we had to pick one nurse (and trust me. This decision is super difficult.) it would be Bridget. She was a newer nurse to labor and delivery during our stay but she was awesome. I’m sure this was a fully-functioning, competent establishment pre-COVID-19. Now? Not so much. None, and I cannot stress this enough, NONE of the staff can tell me which CDC guideline prohibits the father of an unborn child to attend a medical examination where the mother is experiencing complications, and possible early contractions. When security was asked to check with the nurse on when I’d be allowed to enter, they laughed, begrudgingly made the phone call, and gave me a stale, inadequate answer. During this crazy time of COVID19, my delivery and recovery experience at WBH was phenomenal. From the OR, to the recovery room, to couplet care, the staff were all superb. They responded quickly and were caring and attentive throughout our time there. We especially appreciated our dayshift nurse, Barbara Schmidt, who went above and beyond her nursing duties to provide us with top notch care. We are so grateful to everyone there!
