I joined early in late 2023 when it first opened. Was really excited about the potential. The staff was really nice and helpful. Then towards the latter half of the year there seemed to be no staff working there and I couldnt even get into the building during open hours. Ive even seen eviction notices on the door. The gym had a lot of potential and could thrive with the right leadership, but its not worth it currently. I dont even know who to reach out to in order to cancel my membership at this point
Check out the review by @BryanStevens - spot on. I had high hopes but it feels like the gym never got out of soft launch and has slowly been getting worse. I haven’t seen a paper towel in months (no joke). Various equipment with adjustable seats are missing knobs which I imagine is an easy fix, but doesn’t seem to be on the to do list. There are a lot of seemingly basic boxes that have been going unchecked for too long. The grace period is over. Joined April 2024 because it's conveniently located with awesome equipment. The place started going downhill in August 2024. They were closed during open hours, constantly running out of paper towels and cleaning spray and overall the gym was dirty. Things went from bad to worse when I arrived one day and door was unlocked with no staff at the front, which is normal. This gym had tons of potential. The original owners may have faltered but this new owner seems to want to extract every ounce of value left. Equipment guess missing and claims they're being replaced but they're just being removed so they're not included in the liquidation. Owner (Instagram:@bodybymaine) doesn't even exercise at the gym he owns. He takes videos of other gyms and uses them as promotional videos for "Flex Fitness". I would like this place to succeed but it has issues that need to be addressed. Pros: - Huge space - Lots of equipment - Equipment conditions are pretty good and new - Usually pretty empty in the mornings (more on that below) - Friendly staff Cons: - The locker rooms are honestly terrible. For the price you pay for this gym you would think it would be better taken care of. I legitimately don't know if they even have a cleaning staff anymore.
