PSA to the Office manager of the counseling services dept: The phone operator or front office staff (whoever answers the phone when you call to request additional information about the counseling services) is absolutely rude. I called to verify that a provider was accepting new patients as one of your therapist populated in my search within BCBC Mi website. My daughter went there last week and what a mistake! She had all the symptoms of having the flu and after the numerous and unnecessary tests that they performed on her all they had to prescribe her was Motrin and Claritin.... my husband and I already had plans to go up and visit her this weekend and by the time we got to her she was so sick that we had to take her to an Urgent Care where we spent 3 hours for her to get proper care. I honestly never thought you could get this bad of service from a health center.
I was warned not to go here for having poor service but I went regardless. Once in the room, the PA told me that I just have a cold and prescribed me something I could have purchased over the counter. I had a question about another health problem and the PA told me that it was "the end of the day, she had other people to see and that I would need to make another appointment to talk about this problem." They never have my medicine ready when I come to pick it up. They forget to submit it and tell me I have to pick it up the next day and say it's my problem if my work schedule does not work with that. Horrible customer service.
Sindecuse health center is one of the worst health facilities I have ever had the misfortune of going to. They neglect to inform you of what tests they are going to perform on you as well as the expenses that these tests will entail. The lab technicians made me feel incompetent and guilty for being interested in what tests they were running on me. I will NEVER go to such a disrespectful health center again.
