Was able to get into see Dr. Gertel on short notice at the downtown office next to Mount Sinai. While I normally avoid downtown offices, the valet parking experience was excellent. Dr. Gertel had treated other members of my family over the years, but this was my first experience. He was extremely thorough in his questioning, had an X-ray taken in the office, and then explained what he saw, why I should get an MRI, how that experience would work, and what we might consider as treatment options after we had the results. Dr Gertel was very thorough, pleasant and professional. He spent a very significant amount of time taking my history, injury and pain statis. He reviewed outside films and reports and then explained both a sport term and long term care plan. I am a returning patient to this practice and would recommend the entire practice to anyone. Thank you Dr Gertel

So far so good he's operated on both my knees and removed meniscus out of both of them that was floating around and the left knee was actually operated on once before by someone else so he went in to repair something that didn't quite work out right before so far so good. he went above and beyond and called me on a Sunday to see how I was doing like happened years and years ago back in the seventies the doctors used to do that.
