Stayed at Wisconsin Union Hotel in Madison, and we were pleasantly surprised. From the outside, the rather plain exterior and almost hospital-like entrance didn't exactly set the stage for what we found inside. Once we got off the elevator and reached our floor, the feeling changed completely. The room was comfortable and typical travel/extended stay hotel. The location relative to campus and the football stadium was excellent, and I can see that being inside the student union, families of prospective students live it. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the bathroom. The shower had some problems that needed fixing, namely the drain was slow (which maintenance fixed during my stay) and the shower pressure was so high that while it was excellent from a bathing perspective, it sprayed all over the exterior sh... read more
Great stay for campus orientation visit. Highly recommend!
The hotel is in a great location for getting around Madison. The rooms were also surprisingly comfortable. However, the best part was the staff, who are incredibly kind and helpful when I had some troubles. Highly recommend!
