My favorite place to eat when I lived in Mobile. The gumbo and the bread were delicious also.
We couldn't have made a better choice on where to stop for a late lunch & get a break from that terrible I-10 traffic! The atmosphere is so laid back & fun & there are cool sayings & signs covering all the walls. The drinks are yummy & the food is to die for! I had the red fish bienville & my sweetheart had the oyster sampler. Only complaint is that we wish we had more room in our bellies!

I moved away from Mobile and it's a MUST every time I visit my parents.
First time ever trying oysters. I'm thinking Wintzell's may have spoiled me. The grilled oysters were incredible.
What was once a famed Mobile oyster house is now a chain. And I don't do chains. But not bad for mess of raw oysters though. Lemon, salt, Tabasco? Good stuff.
Never had oysters before. Tried them because my husband insisted we go there. Everyone was basically in ecstasy. Tried the jalapeño and cheese oysters on the half shell and I was in ecstasy. I am addicted.

Quite possibly the best restaurant and food I've ever had in all my life, awesome, and the area in Mobile is charming.
Best oysters in downtown Mobile. A little pricey but how can you visit old Mobile without an oyster or two.
