The staff is friendly and always attentive. They know people by name and not just mine i hear it as others come into the branch.
Very poor customer service and statement delivery issues they refuse to accept any responsibility for creating. **************** insists that statements are mailed on the 18th of the month and if I dont receive the statement it is the postal service fault. This month it is the 30th and we still havent received their statement. Out of approximately 10 monthly statements, Wintrusts statement is the only statement the postal service doesnt deliver in a timely manner. I have my mortgage with Wintrust mortgage almost 2 years now and the customer services is so horrible. My property taxes increase and wintrust notified me a year later about this. The shortage I wanted to pay was paid and boom here comes extra fees from Wintrust. The person I spoke with kept giving me different numbers. I have my lawyer look over all the numbers when I first sign. Dont trust Wintrust I should of did my VA with veterans United not Veterans first.

Because of their anti-fraud paranoia which is over the top, I've run into roadblocks and inconveniences withdrawing money and even depositing money again and again. To send a wire transfer overseas, I went to the bank and was told "We can't do that after 2PM come back tomorrow". Well, how about we set it up now and you put it through for me tomorrow? I am leaving a review for a mortgage lender Wintrust acquired. Veterans First. This mortgage lender is the worst lender that I have ever dealt with and has missed multiple deadlines when it comes to closing on a home. They seem to be completely care free when it comes to handling transactions in a timely manner and nearly caused two deals to fall through due to their inability to handle one transaction on time. This bank offers sub-par customer service, old systems that are crashing all the time. Issues with their system are very common. I want average customer service, I am not asking for any special treatment. I've been having problems with them since the beginning and I should've switched banks but I didn't want to deal with switching ACHs from my village account.
