Attended a conference for work that was mandatory. Not somewhere I would normally want to go for a vacation. Didn't care that all shops closed at 5pm either, but... The staff were all helpful, went out of their way to be of service and the meals were incredible. Service was impeccable, Two lunches, cocktail hour on the patio, and dinner. Best steak I have EVER had. If you are into the outdoors and great food, I highly recommend Wintergreen.
A great week at Wintergreen! Daytime highs were in the low 80's and night low 70's and I think a couple of nights in the 60's. We hiked, played golf and tennis, went to the pool and went horseback riding. We did a free music class on learning to read music and heard a free concert by the Army singers from D.C. Plus blackberry picking and several wineries and microbrews.
Very beautiful place. Very professional staff. Great place to spend the weekend with a special friend.
