They could have anti-venon on hand for snake bites. My aunt was bitten by a cotton mouth Monday and was taken to Louisville Hospital around 3:30. One person there told her she didn't need anti-venon because of the way it was made - from antibodies in a horse. She was "observed" for 5 hours and then told there was no anti-venon on hand and sent to Meridian. They immediately gave her the needed anti-venon and put her in ICU. She relayed the "horse anti-venon" advice to Anderson staff and they said that kind hasn't been used fo... read more
