Finally - an honest mechanic As a single woman, I have had many repair shops try to take advantage of me. Ed at Winstons is very reliable and has gone out of his way to help me on several occassions. None of that business of quoting a price and then when you go to pick your vehicle up they've added a bunch of additional charges. Knowledgable and Fair! Winston's is a bunch of great guys who want to fix your car, not fleece you! They are honest in their quotes, let you know all the options so you can make an informed decision, and keep in good communication throughout the whole process. I'll go to these guys every time!
Winston's Auto Repair is not a Bargain in the long run! Everything was great on a timing belt replacement until I took my car back a week later, with the check engine light on. The mechanic had overfilled the oil reservoir by two quarts!! All they would do was read the codes, reset the computer and say it was not a problem caused by overfilling the oil. Yet my internet research indicated just the opposite, and these people refused to admit to even overfilling the oil. Beware!
The Customer is always Wrong My Volkswagon Jetta began experiencing overheating. When I googled the issue, the first three links listed are all related to the water pump. So I took my car to Winston's Auto and explained the symptoms and described that 90% of all issues related to overheating in a VW Jetta are all water pump related and to please have that checked first to save time and money. Execellent Customer Service and Pricing I have taken my car here several times and always have received great service and pricing. They saved me over 50% of what Elliott Tire was going to charge and probably $70% over dealer prices. Thanks Davey and crew!!!
Great service I've taken 4 different vehicles in for service to Winston's auto this year. One of the vehicles needed major repairs. They communicated with us every step of the way. They went out of their way to help us save money by finding rebuilt parts. We have been very happy with the service at Winston's.
Great Service They could have charged and I would have gladly paid for leaving my cad at 2am saturday morning due to overheating. They analized it as a blown head gasket at minimum. They used a exhaust gas tester in radiator and found gas leakage. They have a policy - free one hour labor for problems they dont fix. This is how I run my business to-I did not think others did. Well Iam down one car the cad was not worth fixing.
