The managment is unprofessional and does less than the bare minimum. The building has extreme mold issues, the laundry room and machines are filthy, and the basement smells horrible. The stove sets off the fire alarm constantly, I had multiple issues with the same appliances (even after they were "fixed"). Also, the trash is a nightmare! This place was so much better before they changed the managment! The managment that came absolutely ruined this place, beware!
This place is infested with several types of mold. I ran a dehumidifier the entire time I lived here and mold would pop up on anything and everything. I didn't even want to be in my kitchen bc everything felt infested and MY HAIR STARTED FALLING OUT right after I moved in. I was sick monthly. And neighbors I'd talk to had the same experiences. I have lived here almost two years, to be honest I had never had an issue until recently. I lost a set of keys on July 1st, in there I had attached my mail box and the main entrance keys. I put a maintenance request through the website (as instructed by Chase) on July 31st. I followed up my request on August 5th and nothing. I only received an email on August 12th asking me to remind him what keys I needed (this was explained on the first email). On August 15th, I got a copy of main entrance key not the mail box. Slumlords! New property managers should be criminally investigated. Total disregard for the tenants needs. Inoperable facilities within the units, units in complete disrepair, unsafe neighborhood & unsafe living conditions. Numerous complaints with other tenants about the terrible management. As someone who has managed properties, I know what is legally mandated & the new owners/managers do not follow regulations. Someone needs to step in & report them! Please do not move to these apartments.
I moved here when I first moved to Portland and didn’t know the city well. I definitely wouldn’t move there again knowing what I know now. First reason being that the Max train is right next to the building so you have the screeching of the train every 15 minutes. Second being that I didn’t always safe—there was a taped off crime scene across the street once and multiple times I would come across random people sleeping in the stairwell.
