Winkler Organization IS SLACK I also had a bad experience with the Winkler Organization. I moved into an apartment with a 50 year old Kelvinator oven ( Brand) that they insisted worked, however everytime I tried to cook it did not work.. By the way. this oven sat on our counter top. We complained and sent someone over to fix it, but it still did not work. They even complained because it cost them 50.00. Like why would you spend anymore money on an oven that old? mold My son's apartment has a problem with water leaking in after it rains. Happens every time it rains. Been going on for 3 months now and no plans for a repair. Mold litigation seem to be the only recourse at this time. Mold can be very detrimental to your health if not properly addressed.
I agree with the previous reviews... I cant recommend Winkler to anyone looking for apartments in Boone. As a panicked freshman who lost the on-campus housing lotto, I rented from them. First off, just a small thing. At my apartment, mini-blinds were said to be included. Nopeeee. Apparently, they're included...IF the last person leaves you a set? Sneaky. RENT- THEY ARE GREAT I have been renting from Winkler for 3 years now. These people are great to deal with and will help you out in any way they can! In my old apartment it started flooding and they switched me over to a new apartment without any extra fees. The people they have working for them come clean and keep the place looking nice. In the winter time when it snows they shovel and ice so no one will fall and get hurt. Also, if you have a problem with your apartment they will come fix it within a day or two. Don't mess with winkler! They are not worth the hassle, they are very dishonest and crooked. They literally steal every dime they can from you. The rates are ridiculous and the apts are falling apart, and you have to pay for damages that were there to start with! I promise you that you will regret it if you rent from this bloodsucking, monopoly of a family!
Lived at several apartments with different rental companies and Winkler is by far the best one out there. Staff are super friendly and helpful and will do anything they can to make your living experience enjoyable. 100 percent recommend!
My son has been in The Lofts on King Street for going on three years. It's a great location. I don't think there's a better location in town! My son feels like he is in a very urban area. The staff at the management facility of Winkler are very accommodating and are quick to respond to questions or requests. They seem to care about him and once when called about a circuit box issue they were there working before I could even tell my son they were coming.
Worst customer service I have ever received. Impossible to get ahold of. No accountability for any of their mistakes. Multiple run ins with the processing of their pathetic payment system. Called me constantly 2 months after moving out to fix a problem they created 3 months prior.
winkler helpful place and staff. they will go the extra mile to help their tenants.
