My mother-in-law lived at Windmill this past year and recently passed. Our family cannot say enough good things about the care and compassion that was shown to her during her stay. No one would choose to live out their days in a facility but we were all able to come to an acceptance over the situation with the support and guidance of the staff there. My son's records had false statements thru out. He was there for rehab, no entries were mentioned for rehab. I complained about his care. Dirty beding, not enough showers, no rehab given when he should be given daily. Lied that ins. Company would only pay 1/2 hr OT, 1/2 hr. PT 5 days a week. I called ins Co. Who said he was given unlimited amt. of rehab. At a 2:00 mtg.I complained to staff management. At 3:00 we were told he was being discharged by ins. Co. By 4:00 my son and I left. Husband is in the memory unit, staff is so loving and caring of his needs.
Dirty rooms and dirty commodes in residents rooms for days. My aunt didn't have her bed linens changed for 4 days. All staff at nurses station. Didn't ever greet family. Very cold, non friendly feeling from staff.
I hated the fact that my Sis is there . But I think she gets good care and am happy she gets To go places she always enjoyed.
