if your selling milkweed why are you spraying it with insect killer I asked the folks at lowes and they told me it was safe
We bought a Tropical Milkweed plant from them (purchased at Lowe's, originated at their nursery), to feed to our monarch caterpillars. This plant must have been treated with pesticides as they all died. They need to label their milkweed (and other plants used as host plants) so people know if they have been treated with pesticides, and if so, which ones (and if topical or systemic). Also, we tried to contact them via Facebook and no one responded to our post OR our message.
