A finer dining, but casual Chinese restaurant. I miss the "classic" Windchimes of yesteryear when it was almost always packed (in the 1990's), but over the years they've lost something - smaller portions, food not as tasty as it used to be, and definitely check your take-out order - it may not be the food you ordered.

great food This is one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in the city. My husband always orders the same thing no matter what Chinese restaurant we visit, but here he will mix it up because he likes the food so much. The honey walnut shrimp are fantastic. Not a fan of the egg rolls.

Too expensive for small portions of average quality food – Having lived in massachusetts, texas, and california, i've been around and have tasted chinese food all over. I've also spent a few years while i was growing up working for a Chinese restaurant in Houston, so i know my Chinese food. super fast service – Windchimes is great, we go here all the time since it's so close so we've had a good number of experiences with them. Eating here sometimes is all over the spectrum but the majority of experiences that we've had have been amazing. Sometimes the staffs want to get you in and out is great and exactly what you need... although other times it can seem like they just want you out of there. Meaning if it's super busy and they can't just get you in and out you're probably going to feel like you're being ignored... read more

I am a huge fan of Chinese food, but am often disappointed by the freshness of ingredients at other restaurants. Not so at Windchimes! Everything is always at the peak of freshness and prepared with skill and grace. And don't even get me started on the staff! They always make one feel very welcome and actually seem to love what they do. Don't miss this place.

My new favorite! – I bought a "Dining out Deal" coupon from for this restaurant. I'm glad I did! This is the best Chinese in the city! The appetizers we tried were seared tuna, and dumplings. The tuna was exquisite, the dumplings good but not great. For an entree we had the beef tenderloin with broccoli and the sea bass with garlic. The sea bass was incredible. Great food! This chinese restaurant is small but has great food. Its tucked away on Frantz Rd. near Tuttle Mall. It has a typical menu but the sauces make the the difference. Give it a try!
