Wilton Getty are low My Mother (93 years old) had a dead battery. They gave her a jump but Getty said she also had a bad alternator on her 30k car. What are the chances of battery and alternator going bad at the same time; or what are the chances these guys are chisling my old mom out of $800? Use your judgement. My money is on the latter. Guys like these cause people not to trust any mechanic A few years ago my brother's 91 saab died in front of this getty station. They replaced both the starter and the alternator. What are the odds that both need replacing? Now a few years later my '91 mercedes needs an alternator. The first quote was $760 installed. In the end I got it down to $620. I reccommend! They stand behind their work. My next door neighbor said to me, "Wilton Getty got me another 50,000 miles out of my Jeep!" so I went to them for my car repairs. I'm a single woman who knows nothing about cars, and I was very aprehensive. Jon, the owner, fixed my power steering pump and it was a high price - $900 for my Chevrolet Suburban. Great service dept! Have come here several times to have cars service and have always been happy. The guys are helpful and honest. Usually need to call several days ahead to get an appointment. Gas here is reasonably priced, but no bargain! Overall positive experience here!
