good plants i liked the emploies here. the only problem that i had were that when we got our plants home they dies with in a few weeks. this may be due to lack of rain this past month though. PROS: nice plants CONS: they dies
Nice Plant Selection - They Need a Web Page! This is a very good garden store for the area. They have a nice selection of plants and of gardening-related gifts. Their presentation is top notch and their plants are of good quality. Years ago, their prices were a bargain, but since they expanded & improved their store, they are not as reasonable. Wilson Nursery My family and I have shopped at Wilsons for years and for the most part have always been pleased with their service & products. I would say that their prices are on the higher side. However, I have not been impressed with the their landscape department. Their service in that area is not very impressive and their time management & organization skills in this department are less than desirable. I will continue to buy products from Wilsons but I will no longer spend my time or money for their landscape services.
Not just shopping, but a gardening experience If you haven't been to Wilson's in a while, you need to see what you are missing. The landscaping in the sales areas make you feel as if you are in a relaxing garden, rather than a commercial sales area. They have herbs, annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, and a wonderful garden store. They put on several festival type weekends that are like taking a small vacation. My plants have all lived. Nurseries I have always had a good experience at Wilsons Nurseries. They have such a large selection of schrubs, plants, trees etc. They also have a gift shop area that I find interesting. The staff have always been knowledgable and most helpful in any particular plant I might be looking about purchasing. Some of their prices may seem high but they have quality greenery. The location of their business is easily accessible for Frankfort residents.
Wilson Nurseries I have found Wilson Nurseries to be a very helpful nursery for your gardening purchases and questions. It is owned by a good, Christian woman. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They are a little pricey.
Good Selection for Gardeners I have shopped here for years... They always have a great selection of healthy annual plants and have a few that are unusual from what other nurseries have... for instance the Glory Bower (bleeding heart vine) is a beautiful vine that if potted and brought inside in the fall will be beautiful from year to year.They have all sorts of different trees and and a good selection of perennial flowers... also have a great gift section inside for the gardener in your family!!!The staff is always friendly ... read more
Lacks quality of service Wilson Nurseries has always had a great selection and good quality plants. I have shopped there for years. However, recently I have noticed their staff is not very helpful during several visits and that their quality of service has dropped dramatically. I have also noticed that when I buy plants there, that the roots don't seem as established as they should be, especially in groundcovers and perennials.
Good selection, good service Wilsons has a very nice selection of everything from trees shrubs, and perennials to annual flowers, herbs and vegetables. I particularly like that the vegetables include some unusual and heirloom varieties and this year they also added some organics. The large indoor area also has seeds, tools, gifts, decorations and lots of other good stuff. During the really busy season they have plenty of knowledgeable, helpful staff.
