9 hours waiting and still counting. This place landed in the gutter over the years. I have been here at this emergency room over 6 times in the last 15 years and the staff and Dr. team can not handle this place. They should get rid of this entire emergency team now and start fresh. I would honestly like to know how did it go so wrong? What is the cause of the delays in patient care? and this is not the first time I have been here while it is busy either. Pathetic.
My mom unfortunately had to come in yesterday because a new conditioner she bought actually damaged her cornea. The triage nurse was incredibly rude and treated her so unkindly!!! She repeatedly questioned my mom, asking “well didn’t you read the bottle? It’s not supposed to get in your eyes” over and over making her feel humiliated. On top of that the doctor didn’t write everything that they discussed together in her chart and when my mom brought it up to the unkind woman she treated her even worse. This is NOT a place for children nor the staff care for the safety of their children. As a healthcare worker, there are protocols the hospitals must take to ensure public safety while caring for inmates. No one could explain to me why was there a prisoner in the same small waiting area as my child and the general population. Not to mentioned the prisoner was NOT there for an eye emergency. Excellent care! Came in for terrible eye pain and blurry vision and Dr. Bair and Dr. Bove totally saved my eye. Would reocommend for any eye specific problems.
So unprofessional. I was sent by my primary. The nurse was short and dismissive and I literally overheard her telling the doctor ‘she did not think’ it was the concern my doctor and I had - she thought it was just an eye infection. That after just talking to me and doing the simple eye test in triage - not even 5 minutes with me. And when the doc came over - he already had in his mind that it was not a big deal.
