In early 2007, Don and Dianne Decker purchased the American Legion Post 130 Golf Course. Renovations started immediately in March of 2007, with a total over haul of the facilities that included new carpet, paint, decorations, wood fixtures, bar, mirrors, bathrooms, kitchen and many others. The food was not great, bland with no flavor. The prime rib tasted like Luke warm lard, mashed potatoes were lumpy and dry. The flatware was spotted and nasty looking. The mixed drink my wife ordered was not mixed. Just dumped in a glass and served. The server seemed to be new, he could tell the food coming out of the kitchen wasn't up to par with the prices, but didn't know how to let the cook know he was preparing swill. Always a pleasant experience and good food
Excellent lobster thermidor with steamed vegtables. Liked everything about the pear tart, except the pears. The wait staff were attentive and what a great atmosphere! Will definitely be back.
