Keeping up with tradition, my friends and I went for my birthday to original in good old Mayretta and, as always, the food and service was on point! Keep up the good work y'all!
Yesterday was the first time we've been there in ages and it's still good. Service was okay even though the server was a bit nonchalant for my taste. The only thing I found disappointing was the fried okra was soft and a bit greasy for my taste. If it had been crispy it probably would have been okay but I won't write a bad review because I could have sent it back. The food came out quickly and barbecue, collards, and Cole slaw were very delicious. Servings were generous too. We plan to come back.
Great place to eat. You can watch the meat cook and talk to the person smoking the meat. Great experience and will be going back.
Sorry, ate Friday lunch at Douglasville store..quite a few cars there in parking lot. Usually means fresh food. Had the Sampler Platter and all the meat was left overs except for the pulled pork. Douglasville store, seems to be a recurring thing there. I will stick to Canton store. They have the greatest Catfish Special there on Friday, two huge pieces of fish, with two sides. Tried Marietta store on Friday lunch(Sampler) and was excellent.
