William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is Houston’s second international airport, and has been serving the City of Houston for more than 90 years. Since 2015, HOU has served as the regional international hub for Southwest Airlines, providing nonstop destinations to Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean. HOU was the first Houston airport to receive a 4-star rating from Skytrax, and has maintained the award for three years in a row.

RecommendedThis is the worst baggage delivery system on the planet. The clerk assigned to quell the uprising announced that carousels are not pre-assigned. We will only know which carousel your bags will be on when the driver arrives and randomly selects a drop off. She also just announced that there are two additional carts of bags to be delivered. The first was delivered 15 minutes ago. Where are the other bags?! As much as I hate the longer drive to IAH, at least I get my bags in a timely fashion. We flew (international) out of Love Field & had a layover at Hobby on 6/30 without incident. Coming back on 7/9, however, we weren't that blessed. We arrived at Hobby at 12:50 pm from Costa Rica with a connecting flight to Love Field at 2:30 pm. It took us 1 hour & 10 minutes to get off the plane, go thru customs, claim our baggage, go check our bags for the next flight THEN get to wait in line for the charming TSA agents to rudely pat us down (random? good airport- relatively easy to navigate and people are friendly.
The 4 Star International Terminal at Hobby is wonderful! There are two terminals, once you have entered through TSA (Security) you may access either terminal... Also, a recipient of the Houston Business Journal's Landmark Award / 2016.
