Dr. Hoover is the best
Dr. Hoover is thorough, extremely knowledgeable and has a great personality. I went first and it was such a great experience my entire family goes now.
Great doctor, but the Carolina Dermatologic Group appears to suck. There is no one readily present to answer the phone for appointments or changes. I was asked by the doctor to call on Mondays and Fridays to see if I could be slotted in for surgery if there was a cancellation. Impossible to get to anyone. The Group appears to be overly motivated by profit and has chosen to hire few staff to serve its clients. Really upset about the aftermath of our visit. My son had 3 very small (smaller than a pinhead) warts removed here from Dr. Hoover, and he has been left with a horrific scar. The main scar is over 1 inch wide, for a tiny wart removal! It's been over a year now and we've even used at home scar fading treatments to get it to this point. I've taken my kids in to other Derms over the years for wart removal and never had anything like this. My special needs adult daughter sees Dr. Hoover and he is awesome. I was skeptical at first because he diagnosed an ongoing skin condition and treated it differently than her primary doctor. Turns out he was spot on. He’s personable and practical in his approach.
