Best foot/ankle/lower leg surgeon in the Houston area. He did his fellowship under the great Thomas Clanton MD, formerly of the Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO and formerly Chair of Ortho at the UT McGovern Medical School. Dr. McGarvey is also currently a professor and the vice chair of ortho at UT Medical School and was a past President of the AOFAS, which means that he has the highest respect from other foot/ankle surgeons in the US. My 12 year old son crashed on his bicycle resulting in multiple broken bones in the ankle and leg. Dr McGarvey was kind and patient when he met with my son on the day of surgery. The surgery was a success and the recovery period went really well. My son David is very thankful for Dr McGarvey and has now continued with everyday life such as soccer, cycling, etc. I am forever grateful for helping my son when I wasn't able.
Dr McGarvey did my husbands foot surgery after a Foot Doctor removed 1/2 of his toe and did not give him antibiotics the infection was to the bone. I feel Dr Mc Garvey saved him from loosing more toes or part of his foot. . Highly recommend him. Great doctor good bedside manners and truly cares.
UT Health is a fine surgical facility. Dr. Achor and Dr. McGarvey are the best you'll ever find. The entire Surgical teams were excellent. They did a great job in rebuilding both of my broken lower Right leg bones just above the ankle joint. Where I also Crushed the ankle joint cartridge into 7 pieces. My Right arm was completely dislocated from the shoulder, tearing 4 muscles in the Rotator Cup and ripping lose two ligaments from the bone.
