Through my family physician (as well as "asking around town" as they say), Dr. Rizk was highly recommended to repair my inguinal hernia. I have been a patient of Dr. Durward's off and on for the past 16 years. He has continuously solved the issues I have experience with great skill and expertise. Excellent care from diagnosis through recovery. I've had an SI joint fusion last November, a spinal fusion August 30 this year, and several pain relief treatments over the last 2 years. Dr. Shumaker and his entire team are top notch start to finish. They understand my pain and do everything to improve my condition.
I had to have hernia surgery and Dr. Risk was my surgeon. At my pre op visit, Dr. Rizk and his staff were very pleasant, nice and helpful. Dr. Rizk was very thorough in letting me know exactly what type of hernia I had and exactly what he would be doing during the surgery. Dr Grant Shumaker is the finest neurosurgeon that I've ever met, and I've met several. He cares about your issues and does everything possible to help with fixing your problem. His wife Sandy is an amazing caring person and also his PA. His surgical team and his personal nurse, Brittany make sure you feel that you're the only patient they have. I highly recommend Dr Grant Shumaker and his team for any of your spinal surgery needs!!!!
I highly recommend Dr. Rizk to anyone needing either a general surgeon, and specifically a gastroenterologist! He is Exceptional at providing detailed explanations of the procedure I needed. Even when I was nervous about surgery, he calmed me with his patience and professionalism. Dr. Rizk also was complete in his testing for other things that could be wrong.
