Crushed! Worst decision ever to have Willamette Valley Hospice involved with our loved one. The first question to the patient was if they had selected a funeral home. Disgusting. They were supposed to be there to help, comfort and support the patient. Instead they created frustration, anxiety and disappointment for the patient and the family. Please do your research and DO NOT use these people. You will regret that decision!
Willamette Valley Hospice was an extremely poor experience for our family. My mom had end stage dementia and she was a very sweet, low demand patient. I believe she received adequate care to control her pain but beyond that, the experience was cold and rather callous. The most significant issues came in her final days when we needed the services most. She was struggling with her breathing two days before she passed. Similar experience as the other reviewer. They spend an extraordinary amount of time in your home doing paperwork the first day and then use the day 1 assessment as their baseline for your loved one's care despite never even reading medical records. (The hospital says one week to live, then they enter your home and suggest music therapy and talk about taking vacations while on hospice. Seriously. It happened.)
