Love Wilkes Hardware! In the winter, it's the best place to be ---LOVE the warmth by the wood stove!
Personal service and old fashioned charm. This is a good place. If you haven't been there yet, you should stop by.
The personal service is excellent. I am confident that if I walked in with a 25 item shopping list, I could sit myself down (in front of a warm stove in the winter) and every item would be carried to checkout and then to my car, if that is what I needed. Although I was offered assistance yesterday, I managed just fine carrying the feather duster and case of furnace filters (12 in the case for $13.99-WHAT?)
You don't get this kind of service at a chain store! I went here today for 8 screws to fit a table... I had no idea what size I needed, what type of screw I needed, nor where to start looking. As soon as I walked in, I showed the table leg I brought with me to one of the gentleman (I didn't get his name) and he said he'd be right back. Sure enough he came back with exactly what I needed. Thank you for your customer service!
