I engaged Wilkes CPA in for my IT managed services business. Initially, I was charged a $500 retainer, and then, without any clear explanation, an additional $400 was billed later on. UPDATE: Following this review Jennifer and her team jumped into action and connected with the IRS to expedite the reissuing of my return. I did receive my return mid-November. After this occurrence and they did offer waiving cost for services next year for the inconvenience which I appreciated. I was pleased with the follow up and the process/portals they use for client interfacing is secure. Set up an appointment at 12 with one of their CPAs for a phone interview, guy never called and decided to reach out to me at 2 o’clock as if nothing happened. Went with another place instead. Realized if they don’t take punctuality serious, then they won’t take me serious as a future client. Edit: they reached out to rectify the situation so i have changed my review. Appreciate them willing to learn and take the time to understand where i was coming from.

I tried to use Wilke CPAs to address an identity theft issue with an old tax return. While Wilke was unable to address my specific issues, they treated me fairly and billed reasonably. Omar Thrower was particularly helpful.

This was the worst experience. Beyond unprofessional. Regularly failed to meet deadlines and did not respond to requests. I only received basic information when I went to the firm's managing partner. I would recommend anyone else.
