Specialties Wild Iris is one of Brentwood's best-kept secrets. Established in 1996 as one of the only small, chef-driven casual fine dining spots in the area, they have grown to be a favorite of the Franklin and Forest Hills community. Now, 20 years later, as Nashville diners explore new eateries opening across the city, they are often thrilled to "find" Wild Iris in Brentwood. It is that "off the beaten path" nook of great food, well-chosen wines, crafted cocktails and friendly, knowledgable staff all wrapped in a warm and ... read more

over rated, under served and over charged – The issue and salvation of this place is one in the same. There are only 1 or 2 good restaurants in Brentwood, so Wild Iris has been able to make it because of the lack of competetion. The food is okay nothing to write about, the wine selction is plentiful. The issue is the prices are out of range for where they should be. The sevice is pretty decent, but the menu is not exciting, nor is the food anything you can't create at home. With fuel pricing rising and the economy slowing ho... read more
Dissapointed as well as dissatisfied – I work nearby this establishment and often drive by. I always wanted to visit but, now that I have, I wished I had just kept on "driving by". It's too conjested for starters. My wife and I either felt like we were on display or we were in the way of everyone. Our service was mediocre. The gentleman serving us was a little to interested in "visiting" one of his other tables than taking quality care of us as well. The wine list was commendable, though. It was quite a nice selection. Disappointing – I too thought I would give this restaurant a try after reading some great reviews. I will not be going back. Our service was TERRIBLE and the food was just ok and took a really long time. It was a Tuesday night, not crowded at all. It may have been just an off night, but nothing I saw there even remotely makes me want to give it a second chance.
ALWAYS ELEGANCE! – I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED MY TIME HERE-- IT IS RELAXING AND THE WINE IS LOVELY! I USED TO COME AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK LAST YEAR-- BUT I HAVE MOVED FARTHER OUT- MEGAN IS NORMALLY OUR SERVER AND SHE DOES EVERYTHING TO MAKE IT THE BEST- SO NOW WE COME ONLY TWICE A MONTH- THE FOOD IS GREAT! AND ITS ALWAYS NICE WHEN A CHEF WILL FIX WHAT YOU NEED AND WANT ON A DISH-- TRY THIS PLACE OUT -- YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Great food, service and friendly atmosphere!!! – Great Service, the food was wonderful, will definately be back! Brentwood has a jewel with this place!
This Brentwood charmer serves Southern fare with a contemporary twist. – In Short Once inside this cozy little oasis crowded with tables and local art, you'll forget the strip-mall ambience and feel right at home. The menu of contemporary cuisine is comfortably innovative without seeming bizarre. The signature salad of mixed greens, dried cherries, walnuts and Gorgonzola is a neighborhood favorite. Some items are like dressed-up soul food: Pecan-encrusted trout with roasted vegetable hash and a thick, grilled chipotle-barbec... read more
Overrated – I decided to try Wild Iris this evening after seeing the positive reviews on this site. Unfortunately my experience was not what the ratings led me to expect. This place is a bit long on pretense and short on actual performance. It's basically a wannabe Park Cafe. The entrees were hodgepodges of generic foodie-fusion ingredients which were neither particularly fresh nor well prepared. The service was mediocre as were the prices. There may not be many options for fine dining in Brentwood but this is a place to set... read more
User review by bethsc – Food is great. The choices are unique and fresh. however, the portion sizes are lighter than some restaurants.
New Orleans cuisine in Brentwood, TN – The Chef here is superb, She has to have the voodoo magic in her recipes, because I have never eaten this quality of food anywhere else. She is professionally trained in New Orleans and has surpassed the master chefs that she trained under in this art of cooking creations. Anything on the menu and the daily specials are to die for. Some of the current menu items in 3/05 are (Lunch - Red beans and rice, meatloaf w/ mac and cheese) Dinner the Crawfish with filled crepes are unbelieveable.... read more
