I look forward to eating here. I have been to Wholly Frijoles on several occasions and have been very pleased with the service and the food. I live a couple of miles from this place and I consider it one of my favorite Mexican restaurant's. The prices are fair and you walk out feeling satisfied. I would come back to eat here again.
This place really BUGS me! Not only did we wait over an hour and fifteen minutes to be seated, but the staff was totally rude, with the exception of our waiter. The food was mediocre at best, not enough spice or flavor. On top of that there was some type of insect crawling on my plate and the manager said "You were almost finished with it anyway?, does that mean it's ok to have an insect crawling on the plate I'm eating from? She never even apologized, God forbid she offer me something else or offer to pay for the meal she j... read more
At least try it once! – I tried this place out about a month ago. First, plan accordingly; the wait will be long, so if you want to have dinner at around 7:00 p.m. go and put your name on a waiting list at around 5:00 p.m. or 5:30. The food was good! My Boyfriend had the half chicken and it was fantastic. I had a sampler dinner and it was okay, it lacked in seasoning. The dessert is really great. I will go back and have the my boyfriend's choice for dinner. Oh and don't forget to bring some wine or beer!

Great food, nice service – My family and I planned on going to Wholly expecting the usual crowd and its well known 45 minutes to an hour wait. But, thanks to the advise of the other diners of this site, I called ahead and was put on a wait list since they do not take reservations. Once there, we waited approximately 2 minutes, if that, before being seated. The service was friendly and prompt even though they were extremely busy. Yummy! I love this place. I do not care for the chicken because it is cubed and not shredded! The guacamole and chips are really really good. Salsa is a little hot for me but i am a wimp!
