RecommendedWhen my 15 year old started coughing, on a Saturday of course, I did a quick search for a horse vet as ours retired. Came across Dr. Bickel and called at 3:30 pm. The message said for a quicker reply to text, which I did. Around 4:00 I received a return text saying they could come out at 6pm. They came, did a thorough exam, gave the expected shot, meds for the next couple of weeks, and gave me a bill way lower than I was thinking I might face as a new patient, after hours. I am very disappointed with the way we were treated with an emergency with our horse. We were told they were the emergency vet to contact when two others were not available. We were treated rudely and with no compassion whatsoever. It was a heartbreaking situation my family was going thru with our horse and they made it worse. �
Dr Bickel gives personalized care and 5 star service to you and your horse. Reasonable pricing, accommodating hours and friendly bedside manner. Will definitely be using her in the future for my horses care!

Dr. Bickel & Kate came in a snow storm to the aid of a non client horse with an pre arranged already full schedule yet managed To lovingly & compassionatly offer help in this situation.
My hose was injured. Dr. Bickel was contacted on Sunday but declined coming to his aid. She showed up two hours late the following day. There was no compassion present in her voice when she said he needed to be put down, and pushed for an instant decision so she could move on. She might as well have said, "who cares, who's next." If you are looking for a vet who cares about the animals and the people associated with them, my experience dictates that you move on.
