This was an extremely disappointing visit after months of waiting for this visit. The genetic component emphasized by Dr. Blakely and support in my efforts for weight loss not working did not add up with other lack of recommendation offered. The support of my blood results showing a healthy lifestyle did not align with therapy as the final recommendation. I did not feel heard. I received a referral from my primary care doctor to bariatrics. I completed the process of viewing all seminars and filling out the complete pre-appointment paperwork that included me noting that I had an eating disorder in my adolescence. PLEASE find a different doctor to help you with your weight loss journey and medical issues that have been a direct result from the weight. I am speaking the TRUTH from my experience and i will warn you now. Whether you listen or not is up to you, but if you don't listen then you WILL regret it because between the waste of time and your anger from the realization that this doctor never cared (and never will care) about you will be a slap in the face! ...the sweetest soul ever- major weight loss circles around so many emotional barriers, causing many closed doors to be opened- I became so nervous during my appointment that I uncontrollably rocked the entire time- but her demeanor was just so calming and peaceful- not only was she patient, but she just displays an energy that cares- It just means so much when you’re not only blessed with a great doctor, but one who genuinely cares. God bless her.
