I've been at the Whiting now for going on over 4 years, and I feel that this the best thing that has happened to me. I'm able to save money. Great people reside here. It's in a great location. I love the owners and I appreciate that the chance of living in such a historical building. Thanks Mike & Heather you guys are the best.
Finding furnished, affordable housing in the heart of downtown Travesrse City was an ongoing search until I landed at The Whiting! How lucky I am to look back on the two years I've called The Whiting my home and see constant progress with renovations that create comfort along with involved management and staff that keep things progressive!
Clean, quiet, affordable and close to everything. The newest owner of the building really takes pride in the place. I am a single professional who has turned his life around and my stay at the whiting has been wonderful. There is still a bit of taboo surrounding it's history, but you can most certainly tell it has a awesome new life. I sincerely recommend The Whiting.
One of the best place for single people in Traverse City to stay! In the middle of Downtown, close to anywhere by walking distance, responsible and friendly management, safe for Women too. Have strict rules on Smoking, which is great. Cleaning is done regularly, cleaning ladies were also friendly. Only thing that might be better are restrooms checks. My experience at the whiting was beyond what I expected! Conveniently located in heart of downtown. Rooms are furnished and up to date! And rates very inexpensive! All the staff at the whiting were very pleasant and if I had any issues they were dealt with in a timely manner. Very impressed with what Mike and his staff have done with the whiting.
