My husband and I flew into Chicago from Philadelphia just to spend our anniversary trying White Oak. Well let me just say if we could afford to fly in every weekend just for dinner we would without question. Best meal we have ever had! Awesome place to have a great meal with no fuss. The decor is rustic yet restrained, elegant and definitely relaxing. Chef John Asbaty treated us to a few excellent dishes. The grain salad was hearty yet not heavy, the kale and chard salad light and bright and the vegetable tartar simply delicious. Exceptional service and great food! It was absolutely phenomenal!!! Thanks to Katie, Danielle and John for a great night! Coming from KC where we have some amazing restaurants we were blown away by how they hit it out of the park all the way around! We will be back!!!
Best dinner we have had in Chicago! EVERY single dish we tried was delicious! ALL so flavorful and the different ingredients and textures go so well together! The atmosphere is great with the dimmed lights and modern look. The staff is SUPER friendly, they explain every dish when you get in served in the table, which is great because it varies every few weeks depending on the local supply. The head chef John Asbaty is so nice, hats off to him, his food and his amazing restaurant! Can't wait to go back!
