A rite of passage in Western Mass You have to go to the White Hut, just because you have to. It's a downright Western Mass cultural experience, that's why. From the greasy grill to the sawdust on the floor, its uniqueness stands out. Some people find it distasteful but it's really just rustic and fun. The burgers I've had there were really tasty--probably a heart attack on a plate from the cheese and grease but very tasty. Wouldn't eat there regularly but it's a must try,especially with the kids.
White Hut A friend of mine recommend this place to me. I am not sure what they hype is. I did get a burger and it was very greasy. The prices are great and it seems to be busy all the time. I will give it one more try and have a hot dog...
Not a fan I am one of the few in the area that doesn't like the White Hut. I find the food and the place greasy. I do think the prices are very reasonable and the place smells good, but I just don't care to worry about the greasy tasting burgers.
Best hot dogs ever It's an institution in West Springfield. When you walk through the door you feel like you have gone back in time. (1950"s). The burgers are good but the hot dogs are great. The cooks are a mess and the place could use a good cleaning but the food is great. The service is good and the staff is friendly. A great lunch at a good price.
They get your hamburg or hotdog the way you want it a great stop for a quick lunch and they make the way you want it on the spot. Go here and try it you will love love them. Has been there for so many years and still packs them in. I also don't like the shouting part like the previous poster. But well worth it just have to do it. :)
Great Hot Dogs This place is nothing fancy and it a little dirty. The cooks are messy but man do they have the most awesome hot dogs grilled to prefection! The White Hut is cash only.
Sirs Truly a throw back from the past, but what a pleasant experience. Never see an order slip but you get what you want. If you have kids stop by just to have them understand the way this country used to do business. Shout it out you get it, when done tell the cashier what you had and that is it. If there is a computer in there they have it well hidden. It is an experience.
best little burger joint around Well not much more to say than that.been going there since i was a kid and take my kids there now.Prices are very good and the food is awsome.take the time and give it a try
Great Fast Place to Eat White Hut has been in the area for many years. It is fast and fun to eat there - no frills hamburgs and hot dogs - but they are good, especially the fried onions!
