Don't book the White House. They might cancel your reservation. My wife and I planned a trip for September. We're traveling from across the country. The White House cancelled 10 days before our arrival date. They just said the inn would be closed for an event. Nothing more. We had to scramble and book another hotel. Booking closer to our arrival date resulted in much higher hotel rates. We had to book outside of town. White House has ruined the first leg of our trip :(

THE CANCELLED MY RESERVATION on my arrival day. I booked the hotel a month ago, and on the day I was supposed to arrive, on a 3-day weekend, they cancelled hours before checkin. DON'T GET SCREWED like I did. AVOID this place
