I mentioned this to two coworkers after mentioning I was having some transmission problems and they both said Whitcraft was the only place to go to in this area - they weren’t wrong. Paid to tow my car there once my mechanic told me I needed my transmission rebuilt because I heard them on Shine FM many times. They rebuilt it. Within 48 hours of getting my Buick Enclave back, it started hanging in gear again and revving very high without acceleration and then the vehicle would jerk hard and then go. Whitcraft rebuilt the transmission for my 1996 Chevy Silverado K1500 in Oct 2015. Unfortunately something went wrong with the tranny in Sept of 2016 and had to have it towed back to Whitcraft (sh*t happens). Not only did they fix the transmission for free since it was still covered under their warranty they also reimbursed me for the tow charge. Whitcraft has rebuilt 3 of my family members transmissions and we've all been very happy with their service. I would totally recommend them to anyone! Thanks Whitcraft Transmission!
Twice over the years I have stopped at Whitcraft at the recommendation of my mechanic for transmission issues that he felt they were better suited to handle. The first time Whitcraft advised me - at no charge - that I didn't need any significant work done; the second time was this week where they noted I needed transmission work that would cost about $4500, but advised me to go to the dealer as they knew it was a model issue and maybe I could get some extended warranty coverage.
