History Established in 1978. Whispering Pines Resort has been operated since 1978 with the same owners. Many of our staff have been long-time employees. Guests can stay from two nights or longer (we have multi-night discounts up to 25%) and have pet friendly cabins. We also have a Handicap Accessible spa cabin. Much better cabins in the area for the price. Thought we were getting a pay 2 night get third night free special but somehow we ended up booking through booking.com even though we were on their actual website when we clicked reserve. Upon arrival small couch in cabin had smashed cushions, barely any tv channels, Jacuzzi tub didn't work. We were told there was a button to push. Searched entire room nothing we pushed turned jets on. Ended up using an ice chest to keep food cold cause fridge wasn't getting cold even on coldest ... read more

The office staff (Kellen) was very friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and bigger than we expected. Great location, peaceful and quiet.
This resort would NOT refund deposits OR Re schedule the reservation for another time due to a cancellation of a wedding for covid-19. I would not recommend them. They were were rude and unreasonable to the Horton party. Numerous guests/wedding party were considered high risk. This resort is certainly not friendly to people at risk. They are keeping money unnecessarily.... The governor says the state of Arizona is high risk, but they don’t seek to think it applies to them..

Hi Pat, Thank you for posting this and giving us the opportunity to respond. Unfortunately, this isn’t exactly what occurred. We did allow this wedding to transfer once already and happily would have transferred their wedding again had they wanted to. When we spoke with the groom yesterday, that was not the case. They wanted to cancel. Per the contract they signed if they cancelled, they forfeit their money. Was there last Nov and last Feb ! The staff is so friendly and accommodating The cabins are Clean and well stocked . We are going back on Aug 21and 22nd and I can not wait to get back there . I highly recommend a stay at Whispering Pines :)
Love the cabin. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi bath tub. Just wish we could use fireplace in the summer. Very peaceful. Nice woodlands park trail nearby.
