I have been going to La Mascota for years. I absolutely love the green chili cheese tamales. I've also brought in their tamales to work when we had a fundraiser. We sold out with people asking for more. Their bakery goods are delicious as well.
These are the best tamales! Moist, delicious. I am 52 years old, and I can remember when we were kids my mom telling my dad, " only get the tamales from La Mascota"! My mom is a great cook; she always would tell us she knows how to make tamales from scratch. But when we would ask her to make some, she would say, "we'll just buy them from La Mascota".
