We come here all the time; it’s easily my favorite place to eat in Smithfield; Love the atmosphere & the food. Even the restrooms are great (love that chalkboard!). If you want to go on a friday night, be prepared for a wait...a good sign of great food. My faves are the fried haddock sandwich, fried oyster po boy, shrimp alfredo, fried green tomatoes and smoked salmon dip. The portions are large, reasonably priced and super delicious every time. Food was good. Since I am allergic to shell fish, I was told by the waitress that they cross contaminate on the grill. That was disappointing.

Hi Joe! We apologize you were unable to order what you wanted. We tell our staff if anyone tells them they have a seafood/wheat allergy, it is probably safest for them to not eat anything that may be cross contaminated. That said, your server was unaware that for shellfish only allergies, certain items can be pan fried/sauteed separately. We have amended this miscommunication with the staff and invite you back again soon.
This hometown friendly brewpub restaurant makes me wish Smithfield was my hometown. Thank goodness I have family there so driving from Chesapeake is not that long. They always have a tasty beer(s) on tap and the rotating selection of other beers, and other libations offers everyone something they will enjoy. Oh yeah they have a fantastic menu too. 😁
