I am not one to write bad reviews but this is extremely important for investors and agents to understand. We have worked with over 20 different title and escrow companies. This was top 2 WORST title companies we have ever worked with. I will give credit where credit is due and say the people are actually very nice. They are kind people as a whole. If you want full service escrow service, this is not the one. Avoid it, they are slow on replying emails. For every party involved, you don't get a timely fashion response from them. Avoid it
RE investors/realtors: A random escrow outside will give you better service than this one. Unfortunately, our experience with this escrow office was extremely disappointing. Communication was poor, responses were slow, and follow-ups were consistently required to get even basic questions addressed. The branch manager, Melissa Oiwa, was largely unresponsive and did not provide the level of support expected during escrow. Totally incompetent. Both myself and the buyer emailed them all week and heard nothing until the closing day, which was missed. Tried to sign paperwork the following day but the mobile notary hadn’t received the documents so that wasted another half of my day. Closing was yesterday. No idea when it will close. Use someone else.
There is no reason a title company should have poor communication and be the ones to delay closing. Having clients confused as to why we are not closing because signing wasn’t scheduled in a timely manner is unacceptable and not answering phone calls and being on hold and receiving responses to emails days later is unacceptable. Investors not sure what the hype is about but it doesn’t look professional to use a team that lacks communication and delays closings for no valid reason.
