He goes right to the heart of the problem. No numbing but he's good and I didn't even flinch. Good sense of humor.
Dr Wetzel has been our family's orthopedic doctor for going on probably 10 years. He's seen us through broken ankles, carpal tunnel surgery, knee issues during pregnancy, and anything else that comes our way. He's very easy-going and tells you like it is. What will work, what will help temporarily, and what you need to do to get lasting change. I trust his experience and really enjoy him as a person.
The doctor was inconsistent as to his diagnosis. He would say anthroscopic surgery one visit then knee replacement the next. I sought out a second opinion, he said I was years out from knee replacement surgery. A relatively young for knee replacement surgery. Buyer beware, I think the doctor needs a new car!
Extremely competent and professional. Great staff too! Would highly recommend Dr. Wetzel to family and friends.
Dr Wetzel does not use cold spray because it’s ineffective. Period. He has the precise cocktail of lidocaine and depomedrol figured out. He absolutely does inject with lidocaine prior to Supartz injections. Orthopedics can be painful, and he is by far the best. He applies his own casts and you won’t find that anywhere around here! Make no mistake though, he has the final say in your treatment and he won’t spend one minute with a patient who thinks they know where to inject better than him.
He was rude. He talked to me like I was ignorant. Every time I ask a question: his answer was "temporary " no matter what I ask him. He didn't use any numb spray for the steroids shot. Not recommended . I would never go back. So it really my time with him has been temporary too.
Excellent visit. Diagnosis not what I wanted to hear, but he administered a steroid injection in my left knee. Perfect touch.
One of the rudest doctors I’ve ever encountered!!!! I simply asked for a topical to be applied before the injections and this doctor flipped out! He went on a tirade about he’s been doing this for 25 years (profile says 27) and he how doesn’t do topicals before an injection because of infection risks. He violently pushed his chair back and refused to do the injections and said u can have your refund and walked out the office!! Now that’s excellent service said no one ever!
Dr. Wetzel treated us like family!!! Dr. Wetzel treated my son for a broken bone. The minute we walked into the waiting room and were greeted by the receptionist we felt welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Wetzel is very down to earth, caring, and extremely professional (even with his humor). He answered all my questions, addressed all concerns, and got my teenage son to like him (not an easy task). I am very grateful to have found such an awesome doctor to treat my son.
