I've lived here since 2018 and love it but I've seen the property decline. Debbie and Lindsay are wonderful. Debbie has had to deal with maintenance turnover and does the best she can. The change in owners has gone from bad to worse. My apartment was never renovated. At first I was told the kitchen cabinets would be replaced, then was told no. Auburn Flats used to be a much more peaceful location to live, especially compared to the busy downtown region of Auburn. It is conveniently located to several stores, the Auburn Mall, and various restaurants and fast food locations. It is approximately a 10-15 minute drive to Auburn's campus, depending on traffic. Additionally, it is cheaper for a 1 bedroom apartment than many of the other apartment complexes that are only a few minutes closer to campus, which is nice. Very disappointed with the environment around our home, when we moved last year it was different, however for a few months there has only been food garbage and dirt from the trees. I really don't expect to renew my stay.
Unfortunately, I cannot give Auburn Flats a good review. The apartments needs a lot of updates. I pay for valet trash and cannot even get a clean trashcan. I still have the one from the previous resident that smells like a dumpster. I refuse to bring it inside my apartment. The ground kept up there’s one area that floods, and they put flooding instead of beautifying it. Came down to relax the grill out and the grill was nasty.
