Earlier I posted a negative review. I’m trying to remove it. It’s regarding not accepting FHA loans. I understand better now and should not have posted it. In talking with Westport management I now have a better understanding of the situation. They have been great to deal with and I have nothing but praise for the management team.
Trying to buy a property in Savage, Mn. Only to find out WESTPORT does not take buyers with FHA loans. This is NOT GOOD for buyers OR sellers! What could the reason be? I think it is awful that they won’t do what it takes to get FHA approval.

Greetings Tamara, The management company doesn't make the decision if a property if FHA or VA approved and yours is the first request we have received about this pertaining to the property in Savage. This is a decision made by the Board of Directors. To receive an FHA certification is a lengthy and expensive process that the Board has has chosen not do at this time. Best wishes in your search.
Westport Properties has provided our condominium association with management services for over two years with competence, accuracy and fiscal responsibility. We have been very satisfied with Westport's transparency during a change in management companies. Westport Properties is not a competent management company. They don't follow bylaws of the association. Our condo association had to reschedule an Annual Meeting as the bylaws weren't followed. At the rescheduled meeting, they still did not have the voting properly arranged. In addition, they are very unresponsive to owners requests for information and maintenance. At Westport we work hard to make sure our clients are happy and we respond to every request and complaint. Our jobs as managers is to ensure the governing documents are followed. Prior to Westport taking over management the governing documents were not followed and we have taken great strides to ensure bidding, contracts and maintenance is done timely and properly. Westport Properties did a terrible job for our community. 6 managers in 2.5 years - only one was competent and he lasted a few mos before quitting the business. The others provided legal opinions without going through an attorney; did not complete tasks; were rude and non-communicative to board and owners; 3 of the managers we had were ultimately fired by Westport for egregious non-performance; the 5th worked one month for us and then took extended medical leave. There were not 6 managers at your property and we never offered legal advice.
