Left total knee replacement from June 2020 completed by this doctor continues to decrease my ability to walk . Very bad experience!!
Dr. Westphal and his staff provided excellent care for my total knee replacement surgery. After six weeks I look forward to resuming normal activities, including, biking, tennis and pickleball. I am experiencing no pain or discomfort.
Dr. Westphal was initially recommended by a friend. He repaired a torn meniscus in my knee a few years ago. My recent visit was to ask his advice about how to improve and maintain knee health and function, and I have now started physical therapy to strengthen my legs and the muscles supporting my knees. I have complete confidence and trust in Dr. Westphal.
NO. He replaced my left knee in June of 2020. I had severe pain after the surgery. My knee buckled and hyperextended and I was fearful of falling. Went through weeks of therapy at his office and PT at another facility. I had to use a cane when walking which I did NOT have before the surgery. I got a left knee revision from Penn Orthopedics in Philadelphia in December of 2020. My left knee is doing well and I do not need a cane. I am continuing to improve each day. Do NOT get knee surgery from him.
His fine reputation is well deserved. A gifted surgeon, but also a kind, caring man.
Office staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Dr. Westphal was kind and I didn’t feel rushed at all. He took the time to explain everything and answered my questions thoroughly. I highly recommend him.

All members of Dr Westphal’s team are attentive, pleasant, and professional. Dr Westphal himself takes time and treats each patient with respect and attention. Even more importantly he is an incredibly gifted surgeon and his results are excellent.
