Dr. Westmoreland was very friendly upon our first meeting. He was extremely thorough about the 2 surgery options that I could choose from, which included drawings of the procedures itself. I was touched by his soul, from which he spoke from.

I’ve seen him for hernia surgery and lap band fills. So I’ve seen him numerous times. He’s one of my favorite doctors I’ve seen and he was highly recommended by friends in healthcare that had personally used him.
Doctor squeezed me into his busy schedule to clean up a infected surgical site. Nursing staff is always so cheerful and helpful which helped calm my anxiety as I contemplated the seriousness of my infection. Thank you for helping me.
My son was referred for general surgery involving the esophagus. After a very brief description of what “could” be the problem and possible fix he tried to solicit his bariatric surgery services-Not what the visit was about. Dr. Westmoreland performed a bariatric surgery on me in 2016. He did an excellent job. His staff is always professional and kind. Dr Westmoreland came to talk with me right before my surgery. He offered me the opportunity NOT to do it. I left that conversation feeling so good about my choice, despite my fear. He made me feel very safe in his care. What a wonderful and caring individual. I would recommend this Dr and staff to anybody having any medical issue due to bariatric. I am biased because Blue Cross wouldn't pickup my surgery as they considered it elective, although if I didn't have my lapband removed it would have been detrimental. But the staff is very friendly and caring, its not all about the money a lot of people are now a days.
I was very disappointed in the professionalism, or lack there of, after my surgery on August 1, 2016. Dr. Westmoreland came to my pre-op room and said a prayer with me, which was amazing and so appreciated and it really helped to calm my nerves. But then, after surgery he didn't bother to go out and speak to my family and NEVER even came to my hospital room to check on me, or to discharge me. My nurse had to call several places and hunt him down to get the ok to discharge me.
